Known to everyone although impossible to classify, Björk fascinates with her gentle extravagance, the dreaminess and the immersive splendor of her projects. One of the great qualities of the Icelandic artist is her talent for shaping words and ideas into electro-pop soundscapes which in her 25-year career have not aged a bit. The “Björk Acoustik” project offers a different reading of these timeless compositions. Here, the abundant orchestrations and electro sounds give way to the intimacy of a sextet composed of a piano, a flute, a violin, a cello and a double bass, all carried by the bewitching voice of Ellinoa. An original and ambitious idea which highlights the delicacy of Björk's work without sacrificing the contagious energy which is her signature. The program includes the singer's biggest hits, such as Joga, Bachelorette or Play Dead, and other more little-known gems, in original arrangements by Ellinoa and some of the group's musicians.
