A graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, Bruno Schorp quickly established himself as a key figure in jazz. His playing, characterized by impeccable technique and great musical sensitivity, allows him to shine in both chamber music settings and larger jazz ensembles. With his third album, ODYSSEY, French jazz double bassist Bruno Schorp elevates his already precise playing by infusing it with the modern colors of New York jazz, touching on alternative pop, classical, and post-jazz influences. Initiated during the Covid period, these compositions trace a luminous path, shaped by his encounters with Ben Wendel, Célia Kameni, and Anne Sila.
