MATHILDE GARDIEN - "Racines"

It all begins with the meeting of an ethereal voice and an acoustic guitar. Through their duo performances, Mathilde Gardien and Romain Salmon have developed a refined and highly synergistic sound. Drawn by the desire to compose together, they gradually expanded into a quartet, incorporating Matis Regnault on double bass and Basile Guéguen on drums. Their music is unique and inventive, at the crossroads of multiple influences (jazz, Brazilian music, flamenco...), supporting dreamlike and sincere lyrics. The group is the winner of the 2024 edition of the national "Vannes Echos Jazz" competition and has performed at various festivals since its inception: Jazz à l’Ouest, Jazz en Ville, Jazz sur Seine, Respire Jazz, Coco Jazz... Four talents to discover, constantly seeking expression and freedom. For the past 15 years, #JazzDeDemain has provided young artists the opportunity to perform on stage and refine their repertoire in front of an audience through a series of monthly and bimonthly residencies. It is a promising and dynamic space where creativity and artistic exchange know no bounds. #StayCurious!
