There have been less risky quests: to extract the groove from a string quartet, a cardinal chamber music ensemble for three centuries, was daring. This is the Grail pursued by Les Enfants d'Icare, with no fear of burning their wings. The musicians set about this task with an erudition forged in jazz, rock, classical and folk, and an army of references. A menu that also includes Irish and Balkan accents, North American bluegrass and the influence of the Turtle Island Quartet or Dominique Pifarély. In short, an arsenal of crazy techniques: in addition to being strummed in harmony, the strings are struck (bow slapping) and plucked (finger pizzicato), manipulated like never before, to the point of sounding like a Malian n'goni, a Gypsy cymbalum or a funk guitar casserole. Rhythm!

Created in 2012, the #JazzDeDemain slot has given rise to a series of monthly and bimonthly residencies, enabling young artists to experiment on stage, honing a repertoire while presenting it to the public. A promising niche where creativity and emulsion know no bounds. #BeCurious!
