MUSINA EBOBISSÉ QUINTET

Over the past few years, Musina Ebobissé has established herself as one of the most distinctive and promising voices in French and European jazz. At the helm of a trio where acoustic and electronic elements are in constant dialogue, she has developed a bold soundscape that strikes a balance between composition, improvisation and experimentation.

The melodies are in a state of constant flux, shaped in real time by the trio in a quest for ever-changing textures and colours.

Drawing on the energy of contemporary American jazz, the colours of Impressionism and the vitality of contemporary music, the trio crafts shifting soundscapes, at times contemplative, at others swept by powerful turbulence. An immersive and intensely lived-in sound, where the legacies of John Coltrane, Brian Eno, Maurice Ravel and Jimi Hendrix come to the fore.
