CARTE BLANCHE FOR NATASCHA ROGERS

Onaida is a return to basics. An intimate, inhabited album, in which Natascha Rogers blends piano and percussion like two beats of the same heart. Combining her European roots, Amerindian heritage and extensive travels with Mandingo and Afro-Cuban percussionists, she fashions a music that is deep, organic and soothing.

Here, everything breathes: piano motifs that spin like mantras, songs in several languages, rhythms that anchor and connect. Each track is like a gentle ritual, a way of taking care of ourselves, others, the living, memories and the invisible. It's simple, but never simplistic: music that touches because it's true.

For this carte blanche, we wanted to extend this universe into something free and warm, almost like home. Opening the tracks of Onaidaand let them breathe in a different way, and venture into new compositions to come.

And because music is all about sharing, we'll be adding some special guests to the mix.
