At the crossroads of many worlds, Pablo Murgier fashions a music that is free and vibrant, somewhere between contemporary jazz, classical writing and the energy of rock and Latin American music. An inquisitive pianist and composer, he embraces an open, borderless style of jazz, where improvisation is above all a matter of playing, listening and sharing pleasure.

As part of International Jazz Day, a worldwide celebration created by UNESCO to highlight jazz as a universal language that fosters dialogue, peace and cultural diversity, this concert is in keeping with this spirit of sharing and openness.

In this solo version, the piano becomes a space for direct, intimate expression, where every nuance takes its rightful place. Without the other instruments of the trio, the music unfolds differently, revealing more clearly the contrasts, the breathing and the richness of the pianistic gesture. There are influences ranging from Brad Mehldau to the rhythmic momentum of Gonzalo Rubalcaba, in a style that combines tension, lyricism and freedom.

Alone at the keyboard, Pablo Murgier concentrates the essence of his universe: raw energy, sensitive writing and great freedom of tone. An inhabited, generous solo that invites you to listen as much as to let go.

Established in 2011 by UNESCO and supported by the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz (now the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz), International Jazz Day is celebrated every year on 30 April. It aims to highlight the role of jazz as a universal language, capable of fostering dialogue between peoples, tolerance, cultural diversity and international cooperation.
